Brendan graduated Summe Cum Laude from Midwestern State University in 2001 and served in the US Army in Iraq (1st Cavalry Division) and Afghanistan (82nd Airborne Division) during the war. He currently holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation (LUTCF), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFCâ), and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Currently, Brendan is one of the only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designees in Abilene with a focus on insurance. Brendan knows and understands a broad collection of insurances, from Medicare insurance to business insurance. In the Army, Brendan served as an airborne infantryman, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. Upon his return, he attended Officer Candidate School and was later transferred to the 1st Cavalry Division, deploying to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. While in Iraq, Brendan’s platoon patrolled the most dangerous road in the world at the time, Airport Road in Baghdad. The first Iraqi independent elections also occurred while Brendan and his unit patrolled the streets of Iraq, protecting the safety of the voters. Brendan was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in 2006.
